Teen Critically Wounded in South Bay Street Shooting

Deputies responding to the shooting report found the 18-year-old victim lying in the streets.

CARSON, CA - An 18-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting on a street in Carson, according to the sheriff's department.

The attack took place about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of Dolores and 228th streets, sheriff's Sgt. Jordan said.

"Deputies responded to a shots fired call in that area and discovered the victim laying on the street," Jordan said.

The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition and remains in the Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday morning, Jordan said.

So far the department has no suspect information regarding this shooting, Jordan said.
