2 Men Road Trip From Redondo Beach To NYC For $101
The duo made it to New York in a little more than 50 hours, successfully breaking the "Cannonball Run" record they were trying to beat.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – Two men took the ride of a lifetime from Redondo Beach to New York City in a little more than 50 hours, setting a new record for a "Cannonball Run." Tesla Model 3 owner Daniel Zorrilla and veteran cannonball driver Alex Roy started their joyride on Dec. 28, and the entire trip cost a mere $100.95 in charging expenses, according to Inc.com. That's right – less than $101 to travel 2,860 miles in 50 hours and 16 minutes at some less-than-legal speeds.
The term "Cannonball Run" refers to racing across the country on public roadways, an illegal activity, so there's not an official record-keeping. However, the previous "record-holder" was likely the person who claimed to driven an orange Tesla Model 3 from Manhattan Beach, Calif. to Manhattan, New York in 51 hours, 17 minutes last October, Inc.com reported.
