COMPTON, CA - A 30-year-old woman was convicted Thursday of fatally shooting a male friend in Carson last summer.
Jurors deliberated for about a day before finding Vershonda Charisse Sneed guilty of first-degree murder for the June 25, 2015, killing of Bobby King.
Sneed and the 34-year-old victim had been very good friends, but tension had developed between the two, according to Deputy District Attorney Shannon Cooley.
