• July 4: Earthquake of 2.0 magnitude recorded near Redwood Valley, CA (sacbee.com) — A small 2.0-magnitude earthquake shook near Redwood Valley on Saturday evening, with the epicenter about six miles north-northwest of town and two miles deep. While such quakes are rarely damaging, residents are reminded to report what they felt to USGS and review simple drop-cover-hold-on safety steps for future shaking.
