• A Taste of Autumn to benefit Haitian orphanage (ukiahdailyjournal.com) — A major fundraiser is coming back to the Frey Vineyards tasting room in Redwood Valley on October 11, supporting a long-running Haitian girls’ orphanage project founded by a local resident. From hayrides and kids’ activities to an online auction and local food, the event helps fund education, housing, and daily essentials for more than 20 young women in Haiti. Locals can also support through sponsorships, monthly contributions, or buying special potholders sold in nearby shops.
