1 Adult, 2 Teens Arrested For Shooting In Redwood City: Police

Police said they found a car with a bullet hole in the rear window and several more in a nearby apartment.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Officers arrested a 19-year-old Redwood City man and detained two 16-year-olds in connection with a shooting into an occupied apartment complex on Thursday night, police said.

The Redwood City Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired at approximately 8:51 p.m. on Thursday on the 1000 block of Adams Street.

Upon arrival, officers said they found a car in the apartment complex driveway with a gunshot hole through the rear window, as well as multiple bullet strikes on the exterior of a nearby apartment building.

Witnesses reported that prior to the gunfire, several masked subjects approached an apartment, banged on the door, and then fled in a car after firing multiple rounds into the building, police said. Officers said they searched all apartments and confirmed that no residents were injured.

Shell casings were recovered at the scene, police said.

Police identified a suspect vehicle and a San Mateo County Sheriff's Office deputy soon located and pulled over a matching car traveling on 5th Avenue in Redwood City.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Redwood City resident Isaac Almanzavillagomez, was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Maguire Correctional Facility. He faces charges including attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The two16-year-old male passengers were arrested for similar charges and released to the San Mateo County Youth Correctional Center. Their names are not being released due to their age.
