10 Coronavirus Deaths At RWC Assisted Living Facility: Report

REDWOOD CITY, CA — An outbreak of the new coronavirus at a Redwood City assisted living facility has killed at least 10 residents, The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Former Stanford University President Donald Kennedy was among the Gordon Manor Residential Care Home residents who died of COVID-19, the report said.
Facility Director Alisa Mallari Tu told the Mercury approximately 20 residents and seven staffers have tested positive for the virus. The facility housed around 65 residents before the outbreak.

There were 856 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 91 known coronavirus-related deaths among residents at California senior living facilities as of Thursday, KPBS reports, citing data from the California Department of Social Services.
There were 480 known COVID-19-related deaths among skilled nursing facility residents in California as of Friday morning, according to an Associated Press report.
