5-Year-Old Girl Found In Peninsula Drug Bust

The child was released to her grandparents, police said.

SAN MATEO, CA — A 5-year-old girl was found in a Peninsula drug bust late Sunday night, San Mateo police said.

Officers located the girl during a traffic stop in which a loaded Glock 23 with a high-capacity magazine, methamphetamine, cocaine and $2,067 in cash were seized, police said.

The child was released to her grandparents and two adults were arrested on on suspicion of unspecified drug and gun charges and child endangerment, according to police.

An officer conducting a traffic stop just before midnight in the area of Casa de Campo and La Selva Street searched the vehicle after determining a passenger was on probation with search terms and was on bail for a robbery arrest, police said.
