Afternoon Ecology at the Marine Science Institute

MSI's after school program teaches students about ecosystems, using real scientific equipment and live marine animal interactions.

Registration is now OPEN for Afternoon Ecology Winter 2015

The Marine Science Institute is a celebrated environmental education provider that emphasizes experiential learning and puts learners in contact with nature. The Afternoon Ecology program is designed to enrich your student’s science education as a supplement to learning at traditional or non-traditional schools and home learning.

During the Winter session, students will discover a variety of marine ecosystems that can be found around the San Francisco Bay Area, such as Estuaries and the Rocky Intertidal. Students will learn about a new ecosystem each week, using scientific equipment and interacting with live animals in our interactive aquarium and classrooms.

  • The course spans 6 classes and will run on Mondays from January 12 - March 2.
  • Classes are held from 3:30-5:00pm for students ages 6-11.

Registration is required. For more information and to sign up, visit our website today! For more information, feel free to contact the Land Program Manager, Carlie Cooney, at carlie@sfbaymsi.org or (650) 364-2760.
