Open house will showcase 2016 Clean Air Plan, Regional Climate Protection Strategy and New Source Review Rule
SAN FRANCISCO – The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is holding the first open house in Redwood City this Thursday to present and get public input on potential new control measures and strategies that may be included in the 2016 Clean Air Plan/Regional Climate Protection Strategy.

The meeting will also offer an opportunity for the public to learn about proposed revisions to the Air District’s New Source Review of Toxic Air Contaminants rule.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is planning to include a regional strategy to protect the climate as part of its latest Clean Air Plan update. Peninsula residents are encouraged to attend the open house to learn about proposed actions that will become the roadmap for the Air District over the next few years to reduce air pollution and protect public health and the global climate. The open house events are organized to offer an opportunity to learn about the air quality benefits of the proposals, ask questions and provide input into the planning process. Interactive displays will allow visitors to review materials in multiple formats.
The Redwood City open house will take place on Thursday, January 28, from 5 – 7 PM at the following location:
Sequoia High School, Multipurpose Room

Interpretation will be available for visitors who primarily speak Spanish or Chinese.
