Alert Citizen Credited With Foiling Possible Woodside Break-In

BREAKING: Sheriff's officials say an area resident called in suspicious behavior and two arrests were made.

WOODSIDE, CA — Two teens were recently arrested when they were caught with burglary tools, drug paraphernalia and another person's credit card in Woodside, sheriff's officials reported Tuesday. The two were nabbed thanks to an "alert citizen" who phoned in "suspicious persons walking through a residential street," according to San Mateo County sheriff's Det. Sal Zuno.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Ridgeway Road, Zuno said. Deputies responded to the scene and located 18-year-old Elijah Graeber of San Jose and 19-year-old Noah Mata of Los Gatos.

"During the contact the suspects were found in possession of burglary tools, another person’s credit card and drug paraphernalia," Zuno said in a press release.
