• Authorities make arrest in Redwood City elder fraud scheme (eastbaytimes.com) — Redwood City police say an alert elderly resident avoided losing money after spotting a scam and calling officers, who then lured an alleged courier to the area and arrested him in San Francisco. Investigators used license plate readers to track the suspect, booked him into the Maguire Correctional Facility, and are urging locals to report similar fraud attempts before any cash changes hands.
