Another Mountain Lion Spotted Near Redwood City
This one was seen in Portola Valley, county officials said.

A mountain lion was spotted Friday in Portola Valley, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
The mountain lion was seen around 9 p.m. in the area of Minoca and Cervantes roads.

People who come across mountain lions should not approach them, especially if the animal is feeding or with its young, sheriff’s officials said.
Hikers and joggers in areas where mountain lions may be should avoid those activities at dawn, dusk and at night, when mountain lions are most active.

People who encounter a mountain lion should face the animal, make noise, try to look bigger by waving their arms and throw rocks or other objects.
