On 6/13/2013 at approximately 2:05pm firefighters responded to reports of a residential house fire at 117 Almendral Ave. in Atherton. Engine company six was first on scene and battalion one soon after arrived on scene. A second alarm response was made and followed by a third alarm response. The fire quickly spread into neighboring brush and trees sending hot embers raining down on a neighboring roof which then ignited.
