Remember a fallen son, Sgt. Morgan Bixby. Memorial, Monday, 7/9/12, 4:00pm, @ Post 105. The family requests donations for the potluck; cash donations can be made to Redwood City Post 105.

Sgt. Morgan Bixby of the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment lived by the Ranger creed. Today he rests in peace, yet lives on in the hearts and minds of family and friends.
In his memory, the family is requesting those wishing to contribute to his memorial service at 4:00pm on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Redwood City Post 105, the American Legion,651 El Camino Real, Redwood City (cross streets Whipple and Brewster) drop off bottled water and food at the Post any time after 10am.
Sgt. Bixby grew up in the Redwood City area and went on to join the 75th Ranger Regiment where he served until his death. Sgt. Morgan Bixby was his own person, giving himself totally to his fellow Rangers and comrades serving in Afghanistan and to his country.

As we flinch at the sting of death, Sgt. Bixby would want family, friends and community to reach out and embrace one another with a helping hand. In his name, and on behalf of his parents, I encourage each reader to play forward a good deed in the name of Sgt. Morgan Bixby.
I hope to meet you tomorrow either as you drop off bottled water and food for the memorial service or at the memorial service.
