The Enchanted Bookshop has come to life— and characters have escaped into Downtown San Carlos! Help San Carlos Children's Theater find them to earn a special storybook treasure. The hunt, for families with kids 2-8, will take about 30 minutes to complete (depending on how fast you walk!) and will cover about .5 miles of distance. 
Families can start anytime between 10am and 11:30am and must finish by 12pm. The first 15 adventurers will receive a special storybook treasure, and all who complete the hunt before 12:00 PM will receive a little treat to celebrate their adventure&nbsp; Hosted by San Carlos Children's Theater.&nbsp;

Cars &amp; Cabernet features a diverse selection of automobiles at the AutoVino property, including modern Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and rare classics. Guests can stroll through the display rows, engage with the owners, and enjoy food and wine in the Wine Garden.

Car owners who want to showcase their vehicles are welcome to join the parking lot display area. To secure the best spots, please arrive before 11:00 AM, as the main display rows fill up quickly.

Guests can enjoy wines from Woodside Vineyards, paired with lunch prepared in our restored 1955 Flxible Bus Diner. Neapolitan-style pizzas are cooked in a 900° oak-fired oven, along with gourmet burgers, tri-tip steak, and fresh Atlantic salmon.

Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at the San Mateo County History Museum!
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and we're kicking it off in the best way possible — with hands-on fun, great stories, and free admission all day!
On Friday, May 1, stop by the San Mateo County History Museum and dive into one of the many rich cultural traditions honored during AAPI Heritage Month. Kids and families can roll up their sleeves and craft their own paper cup taiko drum — a nod to the powerful, rhythmic drumming tradition that has resonated through Japanese and Japanese American communities for generations. After you've built your drum, settle in for a reading of Ten Oni Drummers in the Land of Opportunity: The Immigration Experience in San Mateo County, a story that connects the past to right here in our own backyard.
All are welcome, though the craft activity may be tricky for little ones three and under.
And don't miss the free general tour at 2 p.m.! Led by one of our knowledgeable docents, this hour-long tour highlights the best of our current exhibits — a perfect way to round out your afternoon.
