San Mateo County History Museum Volunteer Orientation

Have a passion for history and a desire to connect with your community? The San Mateo County History Museum is looking for volunteers to help bring its expanded exhibits and new venues to life.

Join us for a Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Learn about volunteer opportunities beginning after the Museum’s November 7 grand opening, meet current volunteers, and get a sneak peek at what’s coming to the expanded History Museum.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Gallery Docents – Share information and help visitors engage with interactives in specific exhibits.
• Tour Docents – Lead or assist with new school programs as they are developed.
• Greeters – Welcome visitors at the new 550 Marshall Street entrance.

Whether you love history, enjoy working with people, or simply want to give back to your community, there’s a place for you at the History Museum.
