Construction On $90M Redwood City Project Begins: Report

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Construction has begun on a $90 million Redwood City health care facility, Construction Review Online reports.
San Mateo County is under contract to build five buildings including four mental health rehabilitation centers.
The Cordilleras Health System project is expected to be completed in December of 2023.

The project replaces the existing 62-year-old 117-bed Cordilleras Mental Health Center psychiatric facility at 200 Edmonds Road, the report said.
The project aims to convert the county’s most important resource for the mentally ill into a wellness, rehabilitation and recovery center.
