Person Falls At SMC Construction Site, Transported To Hospital: FD
Firefighters said they rescued the person who was trapped after falling from an elevated platform.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A person was injured Friday after falling from an elevated platform at a construction site in Redwood City, according to the fire department.
Redwood City Fire Department crews, including a battalion chief and multiple fire engines, responded to the incident. Upon arrival, emergency responders said they found the individual who had fallen from the platform “into a below-grade area.”

Firefighters said they worked quickly to extricate the victim while simultaneously providing medical care.

The injured person was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment, firefighters said.
Officials did not provide an update on the victim's current condition or disclose the exact location of the construction site where the accident occurred.
