SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – A man who was struck and killed by a northbound Caltrain passenger train in Sunnyvale Thursday morning has been identified as 74-year-old Juan Alvarado, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Alvarado, a Santa Clara resident, was killed just after 8 a.m. on tracks near the Lawrence Station at 137 San Zeno Way, Caltrain officials said.
"No matter what the circumstances, it is always regrettable when a life is lost," the agency said in a statement Thursday.
