We are the only organization that delivers essential services and personalized support to connect the people living in poverty among us to the full range of resources and services they need. More than just ensuring our clients are fed, clothed, healthy, and housed, we help them create their own stability and remain an active, successful part of the community. Over recent years, more and more families in San Mateo County have been thrust into poverty. From the COVID-19 pandemic, to increasing wealth inequality, to the impacts of inflation and the housing crisis, the financial pressures on our neighbors have grown. SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Two RediCoast vehicle operators were scheduled to be honored on Wednesday by San Mateo County Transit District officials for saving the life of an unconscious man who the pair found in an overturned car. On July 31, RediCoast operators Hector Tagal and Jaime Gonzalez came across an overturned car on La Honda Road in the unincorporated community of La Honda in San Mateo County. The operators had their dispatchers call 911 and then were able to get the man out of the car before paramedics arrived. Tagal and Gonzalez were being honored at Wednesday's SamTrans board meeting. SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Two RediCoast vehicle operators were scheduled to be honored on Wednesday by San Mateo County Transit District officials for saving the life of an unconscious man who the pair found in an overturned car.

On July 31, RediCoast operators Hector Tagal and Jaime Gonzalez came across an overturned car on La Honda Road in the unincorporated community of La Honda in San Mateo County. The operators had their dispatchers call 911 and then were able to get the man out of the car before paramedics arrived.

Tagal and Gonzalez were being honored at Wednesday's SamTrans board meeting. RediCoast provides transportation for people who are mobility impaired.
