Firefighters Douse Blaze at Belmont Home

The fire broke out this weekend.

Firefighters extinguished a fire at a home in Belmont Saturday evening, according to a fire dispatcher.

Fire crews responded at 6:09 p.m. to a report of a fire in a two-story home at 1659 Prospect St., the dispatcher said. Fire crews cleared the scene at 7:28 p.m., she said.

The dispatcher said she could not release information about whether anyone was injured in the blaze.

Calls to officials at the Belmont Fire Protection District were not returned Saturday evening.
