Filoli today reopened to visitors its formal gardens and estate trail to visitors at the landmark estate in Woodside.

"We missed you, and are excited for you to return to stroll Filoli’s beautiful formal garden and enjoy a hike on the Estate Trail," Filoli officials said. The historic house, a California State Historic Landmark built in 1917, still is closed, as is the Quail’s Nest Cafe. The Clock Tower Shop will have plants for sale — via credit card only — in the service courtyard. No checks or cash will be accepted.

Also note there will be limited access to visitor center restrooms and seating on the site, and food service and picnicking will not be allowed, plus drinking fountains are not available.

All tickets must be purchased online before visiting, including reservations for members. Visit www.filoli.org/visit to reserve tickets, or if you need assistance, email tickets@filoli.org or call the reservations office at (650) 364-8300.

Large volumes of calls and emails, coupled with limited staffing, may lead to delayed responses, management added.

Filoli staff also noted that smoking is prohibited on the property, as are dogs and other pets, aside from support and service animals under ADA guidelines.

The estate is located at 86 Cañada Road in Woodside.
