Help Lead Community Tree Plantings with Canopy!
Canopy's Planting Leader Training prepares you to lead groups of volunteers during community tree plantings in and around Palo Alto.

Planting Leader Training Workshop - September 4th/5th and 6th
This free, two-part workshop is for teens and adults who want to help lead community tree-plantings with Canopy. No prior experience or knowledge is required; all skill levels are welcome.
Part One: Lecture and Demonstration
Location: Peninsula Conservation Center - 3921 East Bayshore Road, Palo Alto

Part Two: Neighborhood Tree Planting
Saturday, September 6th, 9am – 12pm
Location: Eleanor Pardee Park, 851 Center Drive, Palo Alto, CA
Part one (offered Thursday and Friday) includes an introduction to trees, proper tree-planting techniques, and best practices in young tree care. Part two (Saturday) allows participants to put their new skills to work by planting new trees in a Palo Alto park.

In exchange for this free workshop, we ask that trainees volunteer at two Canopy planting events and one tree care work day during our planting season, October 2014 through April 2015.
