The Redwood City School District would use the money to provide healthier lunch options and cover labor and equipment costs.

The Board will decide tonight whether to enact a series of price increases on meals served in school cafeterias, a district spokeswoman said.
Effective Oct. 1, the price increase would raise the cost of breakfast from 75 cents to $1.25, and lunches would go up from $1.75 to $2.25, according to the school district.
Meal prices would be raised 25 cents in the 2012-2013 school year, and 25 cents again in 2013-2014.
