SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A man who died in a car crash in unincorporated San Mateo County on Friday has been identified by the San Mateo County coroner's office.
Tai Ping Yu was a 43-year-old man from San Jose. His loved ones shared photos of him on social media on Sunday, saying they remembered many fond memories with him. Family members have organized a memorial service for him in San Jose on July 1.
The collision was reported at 4:50 p.m. at 6605 Pescadero Creek Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A preliminary investigation showed that the car collided with a motorcycle and went into a creek, but the investigation is ongoing.
