Mountain Lion Alert: Woodside
Sheriff's officials reported a recent mountain lion sighting on Monday. (breaking)
WOODSIDE, CA — A citizen spotted a mountain lion Monday morning in Woodside, San Mateo County emergency officials said.
The person apparently saw the "medium-sized" animal around 6 a.m. on Woodside Road near Portola Road.
"The mountain lion was scared off by the [person's] vehicle and ran up the hillside," county officials said. "The animal did not appear injured and was not aggressive."
