A mountain lion was spotted Wednesday morning in Redwood City, according to the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services.
The mountain lion was spotted around 6 a.m. near the 500 block of Canyon Road, located between Cordilleras Road and Oak Knoll Drive.

County officials said Thursday’s sighting is the second one recently in the area.
Anyone who sees a mountain lion is urged not to approach it, especially if it is feeding or with offspring.

People should also avoid hiking or jogging during dawn, dusk or at night in areas with mountain lion activity.
