Marjikeze, a Redwood City-based band, announced it would perform at the free PortFest Saturday at 3 p.m., an event at the Port of Redwood City from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Their diverse sound features rock, blues, jazz, funk and reggae elements for a style that is all their own. In case you were wondering the band got its unique name from, it's derived from the first name of each band member: Marley Edwards, Jimmy Daggett, Keith Jones and Zeke Edwards.
