New SVCW Pipeline Update for Maple Street in Redwood City

The contractor working for SVCW on Maple Street in Redwood City installing the new pipeline will now be shifting into Phase II of the pipeline construction.  The Phase I trench has been backfilled with a compacted material to allow traffic to drive through to the south end of Maple Street.  The traffic control setup will be changing to accommodate the upcoming construction change.

There will still be construction at the south end of Maple Street adjacent to the existing SVCW pump station and the County Jail facility.  Please pay close attention to the new traffic control and signs directing traffic through the area.  The City has approved this traffic control plan and the construction management staff will be working with the contractor to make minor modifications as necessary to assist drivers traveling through this area.

The parking area recently opened adjacent to the Shelter will continue to be available throughout the upcoming construction.  This Phase II of construction will be in place for approximately 3 – 5 months.  There will be periods where the construction process will produce some louder than normal noise and some vibration but no different than what has been experienced already during the Phase I portion of the project.
