Notice Of San Mateo Superior Court Closing On Inauguration Day: Wednesday, Jan. 20

The Court will resume limited operations under the latest pandemic emergency orders, on January 21, 2021.

Due to reports of possible protests and plans for violence at state capitols and other government buildings including federal and state courthouses throughout the country on inauguration day, the San Mateo Superior Court will be closed to the public on January 20. The temporary closure includes juvenile courts at the County Youth Service Center, court proceedings at its South San Francisco branch, as well as court operations at the County Center in Redwood City.

The Court will resume limited operations under the latest pandemic emergency orders, on January 21, 2021. All court hearings scheduled for January 20, will be rescheduled and moved to Thursday, January 21, 2021, or later.
