Pedestrian, 86, Dies From Injuries After Collision in Menlo Park
Emiko Chen was struck as she crossed the street in a crosswalk. Police are asking for witnesses to contact them with information.

Police are investigating a fatal collision in which an 86-year-old Menlo Park woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday evening.
At 8:06 p.m. a vehicle struck Emiko Chen as she crossed the street at the intersection of El Camino Real and Alejandra Avenue, according to police.

When police arrived, they discovered emergency crews rendering aid to the victim as she lay in the street, police said.
Chen was taken to Stanford Hospital where she died from her injuries, police said.

Police interviewed the driver of vehicle that struck Chen and released him.
During the course of the incident, no 911 call was ever placed and as a result police couldn’t locate any witnesses, according to police.
