Peninsula Couple Reported Missing In Marin County
Carol Kiparsky, 77, and Ian Irwin, 72, were renting a home in Marin and may have gone for a hike. They have been missing since Friday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A large search is underway for a couple in their seventies who have been missing in Inverness since Friday and may have been out hiking, the Marin County Sheriff's office said.
Carol Kiparsky, 77, and Ian Irwin, 72, reportedly of Palo Alto, were staying at a rental home on Via de la Vista in Inverness/Seahaven. The couple was supposed to check out Saturday morning, but left all of their belongings inside the home and missed an appointment Sunday.
Deputies believe the couple may have gone hiking in the Inverness area.

A team of 136 rescuers from around the Bay Area were searching for the couple by air and ground Monday morning, the Marin County Sheriff's office said.
Kiparsky is 5-feet-2-inches tall, weighs 115 pounds, and has gray hair and blue eyes. Irwin is 6-feet-1-inch tall, weighs about 175 pounds and has blue eyes. He is balding, but has some gray hair.

Deputies do not know what clothing they may be wearing.
