Peninsula Firefighters Adapt ‘Toys For Tots’ Amid Coronavirus
Firefighters can't accept toys for their annual "Toys for Tots" program amid coronavirus restrictions but are asking for donations.
SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo firefighters very much want you to contribute to their annual toy drive, but they don't want toys this year.
The San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department said it can’t accept toys for its “Toys for Tots” program amid coronavirus restrictions, but it's asking for gift card donations or checks to be used for the purchase of holiday gifts.
Gift cards and checks can be mailed to: Firefighter’s Toys for Tots, P.O. Box 6727, San Mateo, CA 94403, or dropped off at Belmont Station 14 (911 Granada St.), San Mateo Station 23 (31 West 27th Ave.) and Foster City Station 28 (1040 E. Hillsdale Blvd.).
