SAN MATEO, CA — A San Mateo man was sentenced to 26 years to life Wednesday for stabbing his girlfriend to death in 2015, prosecutors said. Anthony Kirincic, 24, was found guilty in San Mateo County Superior Court in March of first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Colleen Straw.

The jury also returned a verdict finding that Kirincic was sane at the time of the crime.
