Sequoia showed the debate community that there was a new player in town.

On Saturday, the Sequoia Speech and Debate Team hosted its first debate tournament. Over 250 students, 100 judges and 25 coaches were in attendance.
Thanks to the hard work of the team lead by Amir Amerian, their parents lead by Alice Henderson and some Sequoia Leadership students, the event was a huge success. It also finished thirty minuets ahead of schedule!

In addition, the tournament gave a chance to show off its beautiful campus and show the debate community that Redwood City is serious about debate.
If Saturday is any indicator, we will only be seeing more of this new community event.
