Well, that escalated quickly.

A San Carlos resident is facing assault with a deadly weapon charges after he allegedly hit his neighbor with a glass beer bottle during a fight over a parking space, police said Tuesday.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. Monday, in the 500 block of Chestnut Street, according to San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt.

According to the deputy, sheriff’s officials responded to the scene upon word of a 51-year-old San Carlos man who had been hit with a bottle.
