Police: Man Attacked Roommate With Steak Knife in Palo Alto
Police said the two men got into an argument in the kitchen, the argument turned physical.

Police arrested a man in Palo Alto Thursday after officers said he assaulted his roommate with a steak knife during an argument.
Michael Kenneth Otwell, 64, of Palo Alto was arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon.

Police said officers responded at 8:34 p.m. Thursday to a residence in the 400 block of Hawthorne Avenue on a call from a man reporting his roommate assaulted him with a knife. Responding officers arrived at the residence and found the victim, a man in his 40s, bleeding from his head.
Police said the two men got into an argument in the kitchen, the argument turned physical, and Otwell picked up a steak knife and began swinging it at the victim.

The victim suffered moderate injuries including cuts to the head and shoulder and was transported to the hospital.
Otwell suffered injuries to his face and head during the altercation.
