Police: Man Shoots Family Member Multiple Times in San Carlos

A 66-year-old man shot a family member multiple times in San Carlos Wednesday afternoon, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
The shooting was reported just after 4 p.m. in the 800 block of Crestview Drive, according to sheriff’s Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt.

The 66-year-old man apparently thought he needed to defend himself from his family member and shot the man multiple times, Rosenblatt said.
The 33-year-old victim was alive and conscious when he was taken to the hospital. The 66-year-old man is being questioned by deputies.
