Police: Would-Be Robber Runs Away When Woman Bites Him
Sheriff's officials say the woman bit the guy on his hand.

A woman scared off a man who was trying to rob her when she bit him on the hand, sheriff’s officials say.
It happened on Saturday afternoon at a hotel in San Carlos, just south of San Francisco, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Sergeant Steve Pettit says deputies responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at 3:50 p.m. Saturday at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Circle Star Way.

“As the victim was returning from a walk, the suspect pushed the victim to the ground and demanded money,” Pettit said in a news release. “No weapon was seen.“
At that point, the man apparently wanted to verify the woman’s claims that she had nothing with her.

“The victim told the lone suspect that she had no money and when the suspect reached down to pat her pockets, the victim bit the suspect on his right hand,” Pettit said.
The man then ran off, according to the sergeant.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man around 20 years old, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and white shoes with a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head.
