Redwood City Cool-Down Coming This Week: Forecast Calls For Lower Temps Through Friday

REDWOOD CITY, CA – If you're already over the heat, this week will bring some relief to the Peninsula area. National Weather Service forecasters say a cooling trend is on the way before it gets warm again.
"A shallow marine layer and weak seabreeze will keep the coast seasonably cool," the NWS says. "A cooling
trend is expected regionwide from Tuesday through Friday. Warming is then expected for inland areas during the upcoming weekend."
Before the temperatures rebound this weekend, here's what you can expect in Redwood City through Friday, according to the weather service:

Sunny, with a high near 86. North northeast wind 6 to 10 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon.
Monday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 53. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.

Sunny, with a high near 79. Light and variable wind becoming west 6 to 11 mph in the morning.

Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 51. West wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
Wednesday
Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west southwest in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
