Redwood City, County To Host Coastal Cleanup Week
Over 50 cleanup locations throughout the county are available for Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 18.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — The public is invited to participate in Coastal Cleanup week from Sept. 12 to Sept. 18 around San Mateo County. Over 50 cleanup locations throughout the county are available for Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 18.
Redwood City’s Pride and Beautification Committee is also encouraging residents to clean up litter in their own neighborhoods and send in photos to be posted on the city’s website. Those who need gloves, bags or litter grabbers can contact the public works department.
The cleanup event is a “great way for families, friends, community groups, and schools to come together to help clean up creeks, parks, neighborhoods, and local beaches,” according to the county.
