REDWOOD CITY, CA — Redwood City on Tuesday held a COVID-19 memorial in unison with the national event commemorating those who have lost their lives to the coronavirus.

The event at Courthouse Square was held in unison with the National Moment of Unity and Remembrance for those Lost to COVID-19 held in Washington D.C.

As 400 lights commemorating the 400,000 coronavirus deaths the U.S. has experienced were illuminated around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, luminaries illuminated in amber were displayed at the Redwood City memorial representing each of the lives lost to COVID-19 in San Mateo County.
