Redwood City Home Destroyed In Fire

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Firefighters on Thursday night in Redwood City responded to a two-alarm structure fire involving a fully engulfed home. The blaze was reported around 10:15 p.m. at a two-story residence in the 1100 block of Crompton Road.

Fire officials said the home was completely ablaze when they got to the scene. According to NBC Bay Area, a live power line had snapped behind the house.

The blaze caused the Redwood City Police Department to issue an advisory at 12:38 a.m. about the closures of several roads in the area, including Briarfield Avenue from Westwood Street to Alameda de las Pulgas and Roosevelt Avenue from Westwood Street to Alameda del las Pulgas.

There were no reports of injuries due to the fire.
