A statewide study by WalkScore.com rates Redwood City at 62 out of 100.

From up towards Alameda de las Pulgas to downtown, the terrain and geography of Redwood City is never even. That is why it scored a mediocre 62 out of 100 to rank as “somewhat walkable” in WalkScore.com’s rating of California’s largest cities.

The most walkable zip code district is 94063, which includes the area near downtown.

Slightly more than three-quarters of residents have a score of at least 50, meaning “somewhat walkable.” However, nearly a quarter live in “car-dependent neighborhoods.”
