Redwood City Library Volunteer Group Holds Book Donation Drive

Friends of the Redwood City Public Library will hold the donation drive Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A volunteer group is holding a book drive next week in support of the Redwood City Public Library.

Friends of the Redwood City Public Library will hold the donation drive Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The group is asking that books donated be in new or like-new condition.

In addition to books, CDs and DVDs and Blu-ray discs will be accepted too.

The group is not accepting magazines, encyclopedias, or hard back adult fiction books that are more than three years old.

The group is made up of around 50 volunteers who spend 6,000 hours per year sorting, scanning and pricing thousands of books, managing online book sales, and staffing our book store and other sales every month.
