Redwood City Pair Nabbed for Portola Valley Alleged Break-In Attempt

Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly attempting to burglarize a home in Portola Valley, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, a woman called 911 shortly after noon after noticing two men in her backyard in the 100 block of Golden Oak Drive.
Deputies arrived and confronted the men who then fled on foot. Following a thorough search of the area, deputies were able to locate the two men.

Redwood City residents Jesus Franco, 19, and Jose Rodriguez, 18, were arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of attempted burglary, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools.
