Redwood City police will be staffing a DUI/driver's license checkpoint this week, it was announced Tuesday.
Officers will hold the operation at an undisclosed location in town on Thursday, July 10, according to police. It will begin at 6 p.m. and run for six hours.
"Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment," a police statement says. "When possible, specially trained officers will be available to evaluate those suspected of drug-impaired driving."
Funding for the operation is provided through federal and state grants.
