Redwood City Police Arrest Commercial Burglary Suspect

A San Jose man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a commercial burglary last weekend in Redwood City, police said.

Khiem Nguyen, 35, was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary and possession of stolen property.

Police responded around 9 a.m. Monday to a report of a commercial burglary at the Proteus Digital Health office at 2600 Bridge Parkway.

Police said employees of the business arrived at work to find 30 Apple iPads and an Apple laptop had been stolen at some point during the weekend.

Detectives determined a former employee, identified as Nguyen, had entered the business using an employee access card on Saturday around 12 a.m., police said.

Officers served a search warrant Wednesday at the suspect’s residence in San Jose and located the stolen iPads. Nguyen was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail.
