Redwood City Police Seek Man Accused Of Slamming Dog On Ground
Police were seeking a man accused of animal cruelty, who filmed himself swinging a dog into the air and slamming it onto the ground.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A man is wanted for animal cruelty after he filmed himself swinging a dog into the air by its leash and slamming it into the ground, Redwood City Police said Tuesday.
In an update Wednesday morning, police said outreach on social media had helped identify the suspect, but they were still investigating and working to obtain an arrest warrant.
"We are also attempting to locate the owner of the dog to ascertain the welfare of the dog," the department said.

Police say the man was captured on surveillance camera abusing the dog while filming it on his phone. The attack took place around 5 p.m Sunday near 5 Avocet Dr. in Redwood City, and the suspect was seen heading towards Fire Station 20, south of Redwood Shores Pkwy, according to police.
